समस्या के कारण जानने से मिलता है समाधान : महात्मा बुद्ध

एक दिन महात्मा बुद्ध जब प्रवचन हेतु पहुंचे तो उनके हाथ में एक रुमाल था| आसन पर बैठने के बाद उन्होंने रुमाल में थोड़ी-थोड़ी जगह छोड़कर पाँच गांठें लगा दी|
फिर बुद्ध ने शिष्यों से पूछा, ‘क्या यह वही रुमाल है जो गांठें लगने के समय के पहले था?’
एक विद्वान शिष्य ने कहा, ‘रुमाल तो वही है, क्योंकि इसमें कोई परिवर्तन नहीं हुआ है| दूसरी दृष्टि से देखें तो पहले इसमें पांच गांठें नहीं लगी थी, अतः रुमाल पहले जैसा नहीं रहा| जहां तक इसकी मूल प्रकृति का प्रश्न है, वह नहीं बदला है| इसका केवल बाहरी रूप बदला है, इसका पदार्थ और इसकी मात्रा वही है|’
बुद्ध ने कहा, ‘ठीक है, मैं मानता हूं| अब मैं इन गांठों को खोल देता हूं|’
यह कह कर महात्मा बुद्ध रुमाल के दोनों सिरों को खींचने लगे| जिसे देखकर शिष्य ने कहा, ‘गुरुदेव, आप यह क्या कर रहे हैं| इस तरह तो यह गांठे और कस जायेंगी और कभी नहीं खुलेंगीं|
बुद्ध बोले, ‘तो फिर गांठों को खोलने के लिए मुझे क्या करना चाहिए?’
शिष्य ने कहा, ‘इसके लिए सर्वप्रथम ध्यान से देखना होगा कि गांठें कैसे लगी है| यह ज्ञान होने पर इन्हें खोलना आसान हो जाएगा|’
बुद्ध बोले, ‘यही सत्य है| जिस समस्या में तुम पड़े हो, उससे बाहर निकलने के लिए यह जानना बहुत जरूरी है कि तुम उस समस्या में कैसे पड़े| इसका ज्ञान हो जाने पर तुम समस्या से बाहर आ जाओगे|’

कथा-ज्ञान – हमें समाधान तभी मिलता है, जब हम समस्या के कारणों की खोज कर लेते हैं|

Knowing the cause of the problem gives solution: Mahatma Buddha

One day when Mahatma Buddha arrived for discourse, he had a handkerchief in his hand. After sitting on the seat, he tied five knots leaving a little space in the handkerchief. Then the Buddha asked the disciples, ‘Is this the same handkerchief that was there before the knot was tied?’
A learned disciple said, ‘The handkerchief is the same, because there has been no change in it. If we look at it from another point of view, earlier there were no five knots in it, so the handkerchief was not the same as before. As far as its basic nature is concerned, it has not changed. Only its outward form has changed, its substance and its quantity remain the same.
Buddha said, ‘Well, I agree. Now I untie these knots.
Saying this Mahatma Buddha started pulling both the ends of the handkerchief. Seeing which the disciple said, ‘Gurudev, what are you doing? In this way, these knots will get tighter and will never open.
Buddha said, ‘Then what should I do to untie the knots?’
The disciple said, ‘For this, first one has to see carefully how the knots are attached. With this knowledge, it will be easy to open them.
Buddha said, ‘This is the truth. To get out of the problem in which you are stuck, it is very important to know how you got into that problem. Knowing this, you will come out of the problem.
Story-Gyan – We get the solution of a problem only when we find out the causes of the problem.
